– The alignment has incorporated many changes suggested during the comment period. Please review and print it out if you want it during the Business Meeting.

– If you are not attending, please forward this email to someone in your club that is attending as well as ensuring you fill out a proxy form for that member of your club.  The member acting as your proxy needs to bring it in paper form to the Credentials Desk.

– Get your ballot/voting card from the Credentials Desk on Friday night or Saturday morning

– Show up and vote. Support the process 🙂

Our Spring District 31 Business Meeting will be held at 8:00 AM on May 13, 2017 at the Framingham Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center located at 1657 Worcester Road, Framingham, MA. The business meeting is held as a section of the Spring Conference. In fact, it is the reason for the conference. I strongly urge you to attend or to send a proxy as this is the only opportunity that you as a club officer will have to learn about the operation, approve the yearly club alignment, and elect next year’s District leaders. Proxies must bring the completed form to the Credentials Desk before the business meeting. The minutes from the Fall Business Meeting are also included for your perusal. Let me know if you have any changes to propose (clarification changes, typos, et cetera) BEFORE the meeting so they can be incorporated.

A few notes about the Business Meeting:

We currently have 181 paid clubs in our District, resulting in 362 voting council members plus 69 district leaders totaling 431 voting members of the District Council.  Let’s boost our attendance and participation at the conference and Business Meeting – Please register and attend the Spring Conference by visiting If we cannot get to a quorum, we’ll have to do this via an email process that generates a lot of requests that most don’t want. Please get a proxy to the Business Meeting.

PLEASE take the time to review the documents above as votes will be taken at the Spring District Conference to approve the attached documents. We have a great deal to accomplish in a short amount of time. Limited time will be available to debate. Please email to get clarification and ask questions.

Two weeks ago, I set-up three conference calls to answer any questions you may have regarding the Business Meeting or the documents under your review. Many members attended and gave their input ahead of time, which were largely incorporated into the alignment. This should further reduce the time needed in the Business Meeting and we can get back to networking and fun. It is your responsibility to review these documents beforehand as there is limited time to do so in the meeting.
